The General Info

The music I like to make.

OK, I've been writing songs and (sometimes) recording them for some years now, and currently I have 3 CDs full of music (make them 5 if you count the non-full ones), and this compilation in the site is 32:38 minutes long only, so as you can imagine this is "the best of the best". I have many other songs (mostly instrumental), some good-quality ones, some just experimental tracks. If you want the full list write me. The basic two things I can use to describe my woks is that:

- I prefer making instrumentals. This is due to the fact I am pretty bad singer, but also I think the vocals very often "defocus" your attention off the music and - to the singing and especially to the lyrics. This makes music very simple (as it is not so necessary making very beautiful music arrangements) and creates false "stars" like Brithney Spears, Cristina Aguilera, Missy Elliot or Linkin Park.
- I really like non-commercial music. That is, I don't make mainstream. For example I'll never make rap. Or techno. Even if 99% of people around me listen to rap, I will not be part of them. Besides I really like many non-commercial styles like metal, jazz, classical and computer generated tracker music (?!?). Being a guitarist I create mostly guitar-related stuff like rock, metal (from the core to the ballad :) plus some acoustic guitar minis and really weird experiments.

My recording gear.

The equipment I have is quite humble. I have an EG-112 Yamaha guitar (the best part of my accessories). The sound makes its way through a ZOOM-505 II guitar processor and sometimes played on a Crate BX-15 Amp, or redirected to the mic input of the Sound Blaster LIVE card. The microphone is Lamar, very cheap and crappy. This all costs around $360. This is the price you can achieve the sound you hear on the mp3s. All recordings are done on the computer (I've never been in a pro studio!), processed with Sound Forge and the takes are mixed with Cool Edit Pro v.2. I almost forgot the best part of the music software - that is the good old Impulse Tracker v.2.14 (which is ... FREE :) and of course the Free Pascal (used it several times to write some sample-generators).
I know my skill level is still amateour, but I also gained much knowledge throughout the years - just compare "Season Of Destruction" & "In This World" - you'll get what I mean.

Finally, about me.

I'm currently 19 years old, born on 26th Oct 1984. As you see I like music, programming. Also I'm keen on table-tennis (and some other sports). Right now I have plenty of time, so don't hesitate to write me if you want :)
