The UnRAR-crack benchmark package consists of three files. The cracking program itself, a GUI launcher, and a test archive. To participate in the benchmarking database, please follow these steps:

1. Download and extract the archive for your OS
2. Run the launcher. This will open a small window where you can enter details about your system (CPU type, Motherboard, memory or whatnot)
3. Click on "Run Benchmark". This will open a console window where you can see the results once the benchmark is completed. Also, a file, named report_XXX.txt (where XXX is the highest score in this run of the benchmark) will appear in the directory. This is the report file you need in order to participate in the benchmark.
4. Go to the result upload page and follow the instructions.

Running the benchmark in a terminal

The program can also be run from in the terminal (text-only) mode. Use the command:

        unrar bench test.rar
       

The program will ask you about the same details as the launcher.

Multiple results from the same machine

If more than one result comes from the same machine, only the highest-scoring one will be displayed in the final tables. The intent is that you don't hesitate when sending a result to the database. Even if you think you can score higher, you are still encouraged to submit your inferior result, and beat it later. This also keeps the tables less cluttered.

If you still want to be able to upload multiple results from the same machine, delete the comment.txt file from the directory, and run the benchmark once again.
