These cells were taken apart from a laptop battery, courtesy of SunShine!

It should be noted that these cells in particular are a bit shorter than the other 18650's I've tested - we suspect that the protection IC is not present (since it's not needed in a laptop battery pack, where the battery electronics bears the task of maintaining each cell). The two cells showed very similar performance; the charts and results here reflect one of the two. The other is almost identical.
